List of VIRP Events

The VIRP held a very successful workshop at VMI on 10 April 2025 in the classroom of Professor J. Patrick Rhamey, Jr. The workshop and insightful debriefing afterward are of great value to the VIRP.

The VIRP had a superb workshop at Kansas State University on 3 April 2025. The workshop focused on the creation of a diagram that depicted a work of scholarship on civil-military relations and foreign military intervention. Professor Jeffrey Pickering generously made his graduate seminar available for the workshop. Observe that, for the first time ever, members of a class participated in a workshop over Zoom.

The VIRP had the great fortune of a workshop at Illinois State on 21 March 2025. Our host, Professor Jim Scott, gave us the opportunity to work with his graduate students working on the MS in Political Science. We had a great experience together that day.

On 18 March 2025, the VIRP held a workshop at the University of Georgia. Professor Amanda Murdie hosted this very successful event in her graduate course.

The University of Kansas hosted a very successful workshop on 1 April 2025. The workshop took place in the graduate course of Professor Jack Zhang, where participants diagrammed a work of scholarship on the Sino-US trade relationship.

On 21 February 2025, the VIRP held a workshop at Texas Tech University. Professor David Lektzian served as host for an excellent workshop that took place in his graduate course; depicted here is some of the work in progress from that event.

The VIRP had a wonderful workshop at Georgia Southern University on February 12, 2025. We are grateful to the chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Professor Jamie Scalera-Elliott, for inviting Patrick James to visit GSU. We also thank Professor Kate Perry, who hosted the workshop, along with the faculty and student participants who made the event a great success.
